Review: We used Hortus Poeticus for our wedding flowers in June, and they did an absolutely stunning job!
They made our venue look incredibly beautiful, and we had so many compliments from guests on the room decorations. They also created gorgeous bouquets and buttonholes for us, and provided some lovely flowers for our wedding cake.
We had an initial conversation with Gillie about what we wanted, and she really listened and understood our vision, as well as adding her own knowledge about seasonality and what would work well in our space. We loved the way that Hortus Poeticus grow the majority of their own flowers (with the others all from the UK), and focus so much on seasonal plants.

Review: Utterly stunningly gorgeous flowers, grown sustainably on this amazing Hampshire farm. I have personally received florists boxes from Hortus Poeticus, which have filled my heart on a monthly basis, with flowers to arrange in my own home, but this was my first commission, arranging flowers for a client. I couldn’t have been happier when I opened the boxes to find such an amazing collection of hand-picked flowers which hit my brief exactly….arranging them into a huge wild flower meadow on the table was a beautiful moment! I could not recommend Hortus Poeticus highly enough and shall be back for more asap!

Review: We had a very specific brief and vision for our wedding flowers – not traditional, but delicate, wild and vibrant. Our colour scheme was ‘Early Sunset’ & incorporated greens, creams and peachy orange.
We had our wedding in a friend’s very rustic barn – it wasn’t a wedding venue. So, the flowers were integral in dressing the space. When we discovered that Hortus Poeticus was just down the road, and a Hampshire flower farm, we knew it was the place to go.
Fi really listened to us – online because we live in Australia – and was incredibly thoughtful in putting together her initial proposal. The end product truly exceeded our expectations. We were married under a beautiful, delicate but elaborate cascade of many different flowers which all blended into a gorgeous mass. Our table flowers were rows of small vases with just a few vibrant stems in each. HP lent us an eclectic mix of candle holders and the effect on white cloths was meadowlike. Bridesmaid headdresses and my bouquet had a boho, natural feel and were easy to wear/hold.
Fi & the team looked after us so well and the result of their hard work was to enhance the already stunning ancient barn interior without detracting from it. We would highly recommend HP for any event.

Our flowers are grown for their character and charm, for their scent and seasonality, for the painted beauty of their colouring: for their sense of a life well-lived. They are grown largely in the open on south facing fields that have not seen a chemical fertiliser for over 50 years, deep in Hampshire. Our flowers can be delivered nationwide by overnight couriers or collected by arrangement directly from where they are grown.
